Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 2:35PM This next event I have to split into 2 posts because I love way too many of the photos. A little history... Jane was one of my closest friends from about age 5 through high school. We grew up together in Rochester, New York ... yes, that place that may as well be the Arctic because it's covered in snow 8 months out of the year. College landed us in different states, and we slowly lost touch. It happens, but I've always had some regret that it happened with her.
Fast forward a decade and enter the era of Facebook. Yup, I tracked her down in a non-stalker type of way last Spring. She's now a doctor (always knew she'd do it) living on the West Coast who has volunteered in Tanzania, scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro, hiked in Peru and as luck would have it was newly engaged. I jumped at the opportunity to design her invites, and it gave us an excuse to catch up.
She and her husband Willis were married on Columbus Day Weekend at the Divinity School back in our hometown. It was a blend of cultures and colors on a gorgeous autumn day. Jane wore an Amy Kuschel gown. Their photographer was Kracke Photography, and her florist (how incredible are the colors in these orchids) was Sassafras Flowers. Wait until you see the amazing wedding quilt tomorrow!
